Trails Utah is dedicated to trails advocacy, planning, funding, and construction in needed areas throughout the state.
Vision
Trails Utah seeks to enhance the quality of life for Utah’s citizens, invigorate local economies, and provide sustainable outdoor recreation for residents and visitors to the state.
CURRENT PROJECTS
ADVOCACY
TRAILS UTAH works for you, the trail user, to help create legally secure trail access, establish easements for reasonable trail alignments, and advocate for open space that can host trails and provide recreational access close to where we live and work.
We also work to:
- Promote more trail and open space planning and funding
- Represent interests of a diversity of non-motorized trail user groups
- Mediate trail user/land owner/management issues
- Urge organizations and government to preserve open space and open space access for trails
- Encourage consistent funding for trail maintenance and signage needs

Working with local and state government to maintain access and funds for sustainable trail infrastructure and usage.
CREATION
Taking on projects throughout the state to create and connect trail systems.

Improving quality, access, and sustainability of Utah’s existing trail infrastructures.

Working to obtain and appropriately allocate the funds needed to move forward on a variety of trail projects in the state.
